Apologies if already posted, but I see he's signed a 5 year deal at Villa. While that's a massive vote of confidence in him, he has done an incredible job there, it seems like a long deal if it all went pear-shaped. On the flip side, other than managerial stability with someone who has done so well, any clubs trying to poach him will have to pay quite a bit more now.

I agree with your sentiments but would add that any "exit" clauses Villa may have in the contract are not going to make it into the public domain unless they need to exercise one.
