if it isn't then that's extremely naive about the reality of our position.
we are going to be competing each year with clubs who's parachute payments alone dwarf our entire budgets. we would have to be extremely lucky with some signings to make any impression at the top end of the table.
gradual improvement based on bringing through younger players is much more likely to work in the long term imo

I'll be delighted if it happens as it'll mean we'll get some genuine entertainment for our money, but my hopes are not high to put it mildly.
          we can only hope !

Not under my skin I just think you're negative and so do you, it's fine some people love being miserable, each to their own

I agree 100%. I just don't think Tan has any long term vision for the club. It's about getting back to the PL as cheaply and as quickly as he can manage. I can see a flaw in that plan that is so stupid, not even Baldrick would have been dull enough to think it up.

Tan has invested in the youth setup though hasn't he to be fair

If I've not got under your skin then, you won't need to keep referencing me (and others) in half of the posts you make. Concentrate on what's being posted, not who is posting it.

You are getting too excited at the thought of Keir Starmer in No 10 on July 5th Bob!!

Option 3 - I'd happily trade a few wins for being more difficult to beat. I'd love to think that, after most of our wins that we thoroughly deserved that win after outplaying the opposition, including handing out a few hammerings along the way, while feeling that we lost narrowly and were perhaps a bit unlucky to have lost on times. I'd love us to score more than we concede. For me that would be a better foundation to build on in 2025/26 than the one we have currently, which has been to get some fortunate wins while being well beaten most of the time we lose.

Club will do option 2 of course, most fans option 1

Excited might not be the right word, in fact I know it's not the right word.

Remember those days when you used to say the way my team are playing we're going to thrash someone soon? No, I can't either
