Come on, Bob. Last season, all those single goal wins should have been several goal stuffings with all the chances we created with our free flowing, attacking football.

Mid table is OK. I don't think anyone who was dissatisfied with last season was too bothered by our finishing position. It's the style of football. Promotion or play offs would be great but it's not the priority for my enjoyment of next season.

Believe it or not, the way we started at Ipswich last season, I thought we were going to put 5 or 6 on them

Interesting that the responses here are reflecting the modern phenomenon of people being staunchly one or the other and rubbishing the opposite view. What's wrong with an option 1.5 of blending youth and experience in the way that successful teams have always done?

Takes strategy and good planning so isn’t applicable at ccfc as he inly looks a few months ahead…..

in a perfect world option 1 is always going to be the dream. Young players coming good.
But realistically. Are you suggesting using our existing pros as back up players. It would be difficult to bring in quality senior players to be squad players. And if we got off to a bad start with the youngsters in the starting line up how long would it before fans were talking about the January transfer window or giving Bulut the bullet.
These guys have got to take their chances when they get them.
Would I prefer Colwill to Wintle - yes but he has to deliver what’s needed more often than he doesn’t.

Surely we need a bit more from option 2. There's absolutely nothing at the end of it, there's no carrot. Essentially, the question is the same but with the added bonus of developing some younger players.

                      option 1 :

My option is : We finish about 12th again, but the younger players are given a real go. Colwill, Ashford and Davies emerge as top championship players and one or to others also impress.

As we keep use our potential and then we go for glory .

Short term glory does not work .
