Bit of a poisoned chalice being the team that has to play the home nation, especially someone like the Germans, in a tournament opener. I think you’d have be the likes of France, Spain or Portugal to perform in this scenario.
They've played 5 today, 4 of whom play in the premier league. We don't have any premier league central midfielders. That's lots compared to us.
We don’t come into it, I fear our race is run. Us, who’ve been present at recent tournaments, especially 2016, are privileged to have witnessed our golden era. I cherish the memories of that summer. Comparing any of our current players isn’t applicable now, sadly.
Gunn had an absolute shocker. When you are the underdogs early on in a tournament and the nerves are high you need your keeper to make some saves early and calm you down, he did the opposite. Still wonder just how different our 2016 Euros might have been if not for that unbelievable Ben Davies sliding clearance when we got carved open in the first few minutes against Slovakia.

God, yes, that was a game changer. It was worth a goal to us really and, in a way, pumped us up. Robson-Kanu’s scuffed winner as well. Fine margins eh.
