Re: Kick off times this season

Boro also now confirmed as 12.30pm.

So our first two home games are 12.30, with a 4am start for both sets of away fans and barely accessible by train.

Also have families that will not be able to make it where kids play football every Saturday morning, amongst other activities.

How is this being allowed to happen?

Simply it's money. Ironically the more money that comes to the clubs, the worse off they become. The fans who actually attend games and genuinely support their clubs are merely 'studio audiences' - pretty much the same as Strictly Come Dancing etc. Just there to create the atmospherics..

I think this may be the biggest issue to attendances the club has seen in a long time. It won’t be noticeable this season as many will have bought season tickets so will be included in attendances but the same people won’t be buying them again next season having missed 8 games. 12.30 kick offs are a nightmare for most people for various reasons

It'll be interesting to see how this pans out for attendances as Sky have the contract for the next 5 years.

Re: Kick off times this season

I gave up my season ticket 5 years ago just because so many games were on weekday evenings which I simply was unable to get to. Moving games to 12.30 instead of 3.00pm on Saturdays I suspect will be the last straw for many City fans who travel a long way to home games, especially if, like me, have to rely on public transport.
