    The areas I know best are Yorkshire, the West Midlands and South Wales. In my experience drivers are the same everywhere - the same mix when it comes to speed, caution, politeness, indicating - and I bet that is the same in The Wirral.

    The only exception is Coventry - and that isn't because of the people there. The Coventry ring road is designed to inflict driver carnage with vehicles leaving the ring road having to cross vehicles joining it. Utter madness - but it does mean the drivers there take more care than anywhere else I know.
    I drive all over for work and cant say I've seen much difference in behaviour anywhere in the Country, its pretty up and down all over.

      It would help if people didn't drive so close together on motorways and read ahead more. I always try and keep to the 2 second rule, sometimes a bit more on faster roads. I don't feel safe when motorway traffic is almost bumper to bumper.

      More distance from the vehicle in front and there's less need for sudden lane changes or dramatic braking.
      This is exactly the solution to this problem.

        Its not very up and down in Lincolnshire.
