    Re: Smokers on here

Just thought i'd add that i haven't touched or smoked a cigarette for just over 32 years. As far as alcohol is concerned i haven't had a drop except for a can or two at birthday parties or Christmas.

it was a bit of a nightmare at work in the 80s and going to a club you would stink of fags.
Much better travelling on public transport as well. I remember getting the bus up from town with my mum/nan etc and it wool be full of smokers.

Never smoked fags but smoked a pipe for about 10 years, never inhaled and mild tobacco, just for the aroma. My daughter made me pack it in when I was 40. I was 80 in April this and started smoking the occasional pipe again. Am I right in the head?

Just looked online Tesco was the first to pop up. Lamberts are £13.80 and I remember people moaning they were going up to over £8 and the day they reach a tenner they'll never smoke again...I didn't realise they'd gone up that much in a few years.

At them prices thats over £5000 a year to smoke, I appreciate many last a pack out a few days but still, that is an awful lot to be blowing on literally nothing. Same ones that moan about ambulance waiting times and how busy the hospitals are...

Funnily enough, my health improved considerably when I stopped taking prescription medicine from the doctor!

I don't remember the last time I went to one. I recently had an infection in my fingernail and it's still there but I cant get an appointment, I rarely use prescription medicine and I try not to use things like co-codamol unless absolutely necessary.
