Sky bet have dropped them below us as possible relegation candidates.
We are now 4th from the bottom , another positive.
If you look hard enough you will find positives instead of constantly moaning....
It’s happened a few times in recent years, but I struggle to think of any circumstances, bar some serious breach of club regulations, where sacking your manager after one game is justified. Didn’t they sign someone for a club record fee in this summer?

I think Preston finished last season with 5 defeats and didn't even score a goal, so it's actually 6 games 6 defeats and no goals scored. Sounds like Preston have been playing Bulutball!

Early days the first five games can be very volatile and results bounce around a bit but then the full pattern starts to emerge.

It can be accumulative though. For example if a team has been poor for around a year, a new start is promised and it then turns out to be just the same old rubbish.
very strange, surely if he was THAT close to being sacked, that a defeat against a strong team was enough to finish it then it would have been much better to make the decision in may and at least give the new manager a chance to bring in their own players and work with the team in pre season

Why not make the change in time for someone to come in and oversee pre season training and summer recruitment work though? Maybe Leningrad Cowboy’s suggestion is true?
