Re: Erol Bulut's pre Burnley press conference

      Some key points:

"Callum Robinson trained today individually, and tomorrow he will have a session to see if he is available or not on Saturday.

"For David Turnbull, he will have a scan today, and then we will know more tomorrow. It looks like he will be out for one month. He had a shot on goal in the warm-up, and then he felt a pain in his adductor. I hope it is not something serious.

"Anwar El Ghazi is training hard. Of course, we don't want to use him so early that he gets injured. We want him fully fit, then he can play continuously for us. He needs more time."

And some quotes from WoL on new player possibilities:

Bulut wants to add a striker, defender and possibly two midfielders and revealed the club were close to agreeing deals for some, although they face stiff competition from rivals.

"It can happen this week, next week you never know," Bulut said of incomings. "We are close with a few players, we are a little bit far away with a few players. But we have a few on our list where we can go. Teams are also delaying on purpose because we are not the only team in for some players.

"We look also abroad. We have our contacts abroad and not only in the UK. We try to connect our network, European-wide, worldwide, so our recruitment, our scouts are also working in a really good direction."

When pressed on the number of additions he wants, he added: "I say three but it can be four. We will not spend money to get only some players, we want the right ones for the team. I will not have anything when I have a squad of 30 players and I cannot use a few of them.

"I try to use as many players as possible, because rotation will come when we have games every three days. So we try to get the right ones so we can have 26, 27 players, including goalkeepers."

One new signing who will be available is Alex Robertson, who made his Bluebirds debut against Bristol Rovers in the Carabao Cup last night.

Speaking about Robertson, Bulut added: "We saw yesterday. If he had the ball in the last third or in the middle third. With his passes, his shots from a distance, this we need. Key passes. His work rate, too. He had very good runs defensively when he caught the ball and fought for the ball.

This is why we don't shoot.

that can happen when you're suddenly using a muscle group that hasn't been used in a long time - he should have built up to it with some sideways passing for 2-3 months first

Callum O'Dowda and the players are enjoying the new style of play.

So, a few youngsters going out on loan including Raheem Conte, Malachi Fagan-Walcott and .... Kieron Evans!

Giving the latter a new contract is one of the most bizarre things City have done in a while.

F*ck me how many midfielders does he need?

As it stands we have a 31 man squad and that's not including the likes of MFW, Kpakio, Giles, Evans etc. Surely we'll need to offload a few soon?

We get two to three injuries a week at the minute, we will probably need a lot more :hehe:

Do you think that may be reason David Turnbull didn't have that great a game last night ? :-)

Frees up wages , puts them in the shop window , brings in potential transfer fees perhaps, like Adam’s and Watters and hopefully develops their own game ?

I’m sure that made sense to you when you posted it, but it makes none to me.

new style of play? lol.. different players playing the same bulutball might look slightly different but its the same shit different season

the main difference i saw vs sunderland was that we replaced passback-grant with a very capable willock..which is just what we were sorely missing as a squad last season.

Unfortunatley bulut is still holding tightly onto the dog lead of this team
