Speaking at the Vale Resort, Jesper said: “I'm ready to go. I've played a few games already this season. I'm very excited and looking forward to the journey ahead.

“I've heard a lot about what will hopefully be my first game. It's a real derby. I can't ask for a better game to start. I'm looking forward to the atmosphere. Obviously, the game is special for the fans and for everyone here.

“I'll do everything I can for this Club.”
Eh, he's not over 30, no serious ACL/hamstring injuries to report, and he's already had game time this season?
It doesn't sound like one of our normal signings.

I like the look of this signing. Can’t really say why especially, but I just get a feeling I’m going to like Daland. And that will be good as the departing McGuinness is my favourite player in the current squad.

The only downside for me is he’s coming here from the Belgian league, which I’ve increasingly come to believe is of a poor standard. But, that said, I feel more enthusiastic about this signing than any other so far this summer.

If Daland goes straight into the side on Sunday, as sounds likely, it’ll be quite a jump. Cercle Bruges drew a crowd of just 4,405 for their last league game, and just 4,504 for their Europa League victory over Molde last week.

At least he seems ready and able to play for 90 minutes, unlike our other signings.
Hopefully he will be a good addition to the team

Assume he’s going to take the number 5 shirt vacated by McGuinness

Look on the brightside he will be good for early round cup games

All I’ll say for now is that I doubt if McGuinness could have scored that goal by Daland that was posted on here.

The only guide without seeing him is to look at his stats for the last few seasons. Interestingly if you compare him and McGuinness, he has performed better defensively than McG in terms of %age of tackles won, aerial duals, interceptions, and recoveries. His passing looks slightly worse which is odd given than Bulut has said he'll help with our build up play. But we'll see.

Maybe we only dealt as CCFC and they thought we were Coventry?

I presume all of his stats are for the Belgian league, which is almost certainly considerably weaker than the Championship. I’m genuinely hopeful with this signing, but that’s just a feeling - I wouldn’t put any great weight on his form in Belgium.
