I mean if Ramsey could reverse time and not have his leg smashed to bits by Ryan Shaw Ross then he'd probably have a bit more longevity but even then players performing ar the top level ar the age if 38 are very much a rarity I would imagine it's more to do with a natural propensity to it rather than any effort from his part

Incredible how many people completely gloss over this when they complain about Ramsey's injuries over the years

Milner's longevity is impressive but he's also been fortunate to not really have had any major injuries over his career

It's definitely a biological thing, when your legs go it happens quickly. Some players adapt their game into one that requires less speed and energy, but it's a bit tricky to keep on doing it in the Premier League.

Milner never avoided the physical part of the game , which makes his longevity even more remarkable. I would say he was as tough as most with lots skill .

A very rounded player at full back ,midfield or on the wing and debuted at 16 .

Apprantly he was a long distance runner which probably has given him a very strong platform of fitness.

Some players also look after thier thier bodies in a better way , eat better , train harder and avoid over indulgences which would deliver the fitter athlete.

                            Re: How Fit Is Milner

His lack of pace was exposed during last season when he was playing as a full back and had a hammy injury in January which kept him out for the rest of the campaign.

Maybe significantly, he's been shifted to midfield so far this season and doesn't have to deal with quick wingers like Docu.
