For me he was one of the best signings of the championship

He’s only played a few games but hasn’t so far lived up to expectations. Obviously have to give him time to settle

    His positioning seems wayward

    Worth putting at fullback?

Time to settle is the key point, give all the new signings at 6 games,
After that I think we’ll get a better feel for how good they are likely to be

Chambers hasn’t looked very good so far, but he has to be given time to form a partnership with Daland, who had a decent debut.

Chopping and changing the central defensive pairing won’t help the side, but I fear Bulut will do that now he has four genuine options.

Something that would definitely help from a defensive point of view would be to bring Alnwick back in, as Horvath looks an accident waiting to happen. His form must make the defenders nervous.

        Re: Chambers

Chamber is an all-round upgrade on NG albeit one with little asset value.

With so much recruitment activity in the center-half area I assumed we were going three at the back, as all of them are mobile and "comfortable" on the ball. I hope we'll get through to the international break then change it.

Ng is much better than Chambers. He's probably a better centre back than him as well.

Thought Chambers did pretty well yesterday - he's not setting the world alight so far, but we have more pressing issues in other positions than him.

              No evidence of that yet.

                Re: Chambers

Chambers did well yesterday, especially considering Swansea were allowed to waltz through our midfield in the first half

What's apparent is there's absolutely no plan to move the ball from defence to midfield from goal kicks, hence it always coming back to him to clear down the line

                  Re: Chambers

Whole team has started shakily, he though has plenty of room to improve.

Didn't Ng play a few games at CB last season ? Remember him doing pretty OK..

                      Worse than Simpson

Haven’t seen a bean of potential from him

Have to disagree. Chambers, Fish and Alnwick were the only positives from today. Yes he gave the ball away for the 2nd goal but the defence was under a lot of pressure from a very decent team and playing with only 10 men

Being as though the only strong point of the side is their ability to pass backwards, it was a horrible error just when there was a glimmer of light.
