Wouldn’t surprise me in the least if he’s gone by next weekend. There’s obviously an ulterior motive on sending Simic to Kortryk, ffp or another monetary motive, make your own mind up.

pure speculation, but I think the club signed him as a longer term investment, and Bulut didn't want him so he was sent to Kortrijk.

I doubt it’s a work permit issue, given he is from an EU country (even after Brexit). Clubs bringing in players from a continent outside of Europe does add complications, hence Chelsea bringing in South Americans and loaning to Strasbourg, as an example.

I can only assume it’s something to do with financial regulations - something along the lines of Kortrijk can’t spend Ł2m and this gets around it Alternatively their fans have kicked off that Tan has spent a few million on players for us but nothing for them, and this will keep them placated for now.

I'd be very surprised if Simic is ready for championship football just yet. I think the club see it as an investment. That's my thinking. It's ****ing bonkers though.

Roko ŠimiC has joined K.V. Kortrijk on loan for the 2024/25 season.

Does this mean he can't be recalled this season ? That's absurd if true. It's also marginally less absurd if he isn't ready for Championship football in terms of his development - who are we, Liverpool ? Man Utd ?

If it's to get him up to fitness in say 5 or 6 games fair enough but this looks a bit longer term. As you say, some explanation would be good. No doubt the media will be on it !! [??]..

Most of the press reports on the signing said there was a January recall clause if Cardiff want to activate it.

Wanted as the answer to the problems in front of goal for the team top of the league but we send him out on loan to a “sister” club.

The whole thing stinks of the dictator thinking he can pull a fast one and benefit both clubs.
