Fiorentina - anyone been?

My first visit to Florence next month, and realised they are playing Lazio when I'm there. Anyone been? Tips on getting tickets?

I went about ten years ago, ironically to see them play Lazio.

At the time they were pretty strict on ticketing due to hooliganism, you couldn't just rock up at the ground and get a ticket, you had to go to a booth in the city and show photo ID to get a ticket.

It was well worth it though, a beautiful old ground with a stunning view of the hills behind the one goal and a great atmosphere.

They’ll be playing TNS at some point too. Early October I think though.

As mentioned above make sure you take photo id to the ground as well with you as i had issues with this in italy in the past at Roma's ground.

I had to present photo ID with the ticket to gain entry at the ground as well. So make sure you take your ID with you i.e. passport or driving license etc. As it had to match what was on the ticket as mentioned above due to hooliganisim.

Alougth I watched the Ultras for Roma just enter the ground without being checked they just all gathered together and then a gate was opened and in they all went.

Cheers. So, for Serie A matches, it's possible to buy on line? I ask because I go to Bundesliga games and membership is sometimes required.

I bought my tickets online and printed them off etc. They did not mention the photo ID etc. It was only when I got to the ground they wanted to see the ID, luckily we had our passports with us.

So you can purchase online but make sure you take your photo ID to the ground with you.
