  • Aaron Ramsey

For all the criticism of his performance on Saturday , he still had our only 2 worthwhile efforts on goal, 2 more than Meite Kanga and Willock combined.

He cut a very frustrated figure to me. His performances haven’t been great so far this season and bearing in mind his injury record it does seem strange Bulut always giving him the full 90 minutes. We do however need him in the team, maybe in a more deeper role where he can get on the ball more.

It will be interesting to see how he performs for Wales on Friday in a Craig Bellamy team and what role he takes up in midfield , I wonder if we will see a more influential performance from him in a Welsh shirt?

I feel this is the only hope of getting the best out of him at this stage of his career.

I reckon he can contribute so much more being the 'director of operations', instead of running around trying to do everything for the team and not really being up to that any more.

      Re: Aaron Ramsey

Playing deep is not his natural game but he's better suited as a Joe Allen these days

And even then he's not a 90 minute man let's be honest

It will be interesting to see, but I hope he's just there to help out and not play, if he does play, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he gets the next injury he's played a lot of minutes and would benefit from a rest.

I’m sure he will play in the home game against Turkey, Bellamy named him as captain

It’s catch 22. Play him deeper to get him on the ball but then he hasn’t got the legs to be closing down the opposition, making tackles and interceptions.etc when we haven’t got the ball. Youre one man down in the middle of the pitch rather than the front third if he plays 8 rather than 10. I fear we will get overrun with Ramsey playing further back.

Agree with the OP though, for all the criticsm hes the only one who drew any saves out of their keeper and had one cleared off the line.

              Re: Aaron Ramsey

Ramsey has played 17 League (Championship) games for Cardiff City since returning at the start of last season.

He has scored 4 goals. Of the 17 games we have won 4, drawn 2 and lost 11.

              Just confirming the facts.

It’s 3 goals. One of the 4 he scored last season was for Wales against Latvia.

We are in denial. He is spent. I would love to be wrong so let's see.

Ramsey has a technique that’s clearly a different level to all the other players.

But it won’t be long before he’s more of a hindrance than an asset unless he’s given a role that’s tailored to him and everyone else fits in.
