Re: MONTENEGRO v WALES. Match thread
No, but when i was around 15 years of age i went up to Newcastle with my mate to see a coup,e of girls we had 'Befriended' we stayed in one of their houses, and her Father was a massive cock, making us go to Durham and shit like that, so we locked ourselves in the room for three days and played Donkey Kong.Originally posted by Citizen's Nephew View PostDid anyone else imagine the VAR screen as a CRT set playing pong?

If an infinite number of monkeys had an infinite number of typewriters and only the words Kong, cock and donkey to work with...I reckon it'd be pretty close to that post! .....my detective like brain deduces you must have been playing on a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).Originally posted by Tuerto View PostNo, but when i was around 15 years of age i went up to Newcastle with my mate to see a coup,e of girls we had 'Befriended' we stayed in one of their houses, and her Father was a massive cock, making us go to Durham and shit like that, so we locked ourselves in the room for three days and played Donkey Kong.

I think it was a Gameboy? light grey in colour. It's a true story, Ray his name was, "Wakey Wakey Boys, we're off to Durham' Yeah, **** right off Ray!Originally posted by Citizen's Nephew View PostIf an infinite number of monkeys had an infinite number of typewriters and only the words Kong, cock and donkey to work with...I reckon it'd be pretty close to that post! .....my detective like brain deduces you must have been playing on a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).

I believed the story. Yeah, sounds like a Gameboy before the colour version.....I feel I should say something more about the match tonight on this thread but my mind's wandered off thinking about Donkey Kong leaderboard scores now.Originally posted by Tuerto View PostI think it was a Gameboy? light grey in colour. Re: MONTENEGRO v WALES. Match thread
I was one of those affected. My group decided not to go on Sunday morning when it looked like a 4:30 pm flight. But I'm not sure that we have all been told the full story. I suspect that more details will be revealed about the timing and sequencing of events.Originally posted by Rjk View Postmaybe it wasn't in Cardiff when it hit the bird

Re: MONTENEGRO v WALES. Match thread
I heard that it was hit on its way to Cardiff. Then was deemed unsafe to fly. A replacement plane was eventually arranged but it was outside the flight crew times and there were no crews available. It does sound credible. My sister-in-law flies with BA and there are strict rules about crew turnarounds. Feel for you though mate and all the others. It sucks when stuff like this happens.Originally posted by Garth Blue View PostI was one of those affected. My group decided not to go on Sunday morning when it looked like a 4:30 pm flight. Re: MONTENEGRO v WALES. Match thread
It's interesting that a "bird strike" is a specific exemption under EU and UK law on receiving delay/cancellation compensation. In our initial research we can no record on Friday of a bird strike - airlines must report them to the CAA and as far as we can tell nothing was reported involving Air Montenegro.Originally posted by Citizen's Nephew View PostI heard that it was hit on its way to Cardiff. Haven't Wonky Sheep offered a refund then? Didn't know that about bird strikes and compensation. Hope you get it sorted.Originally posted by Garth Blue View PostIt's interesting that a "bird strike" is a specific exemption under EU and UK law on receiving delay/cancellation compensation. Thanks. I've always rated Wonky. But worry a bit how this might affect a small business' cash flow. We'll see.Originally posted by Citizen's Nephew View PostHaven't Wonky Sheep offered a refund then? Didn't know that about bird strikes and compensation. Hope you get it sorted.
