Saw Romulus in the cinema recently, a decent enough throwback to this one. Enjoyed it apart from the final 20 minutes or so.

Not seen it , must check it out

Predator is another good film of this type

Good film, but IMHO "Aliens" is one of those rare sequels that is better than the original. Alien3 etc reverted to type and got worse as they went on.

The original film is amazing. Such a great horror film with great characters as well.
