Re: Riza's first press conference and first team selection

Would love to see it tomorrow but if Riza has changed the whole system and mentality of the team in one week and we perform well surely he’ll be picked up by a Premier League club sharpish. It’d be nothing short of a miracle…..I’m hoping and looking forward to it though.

Losing 5-4, instead of 2-0 would be different/exciting

There is not much to like about our club at the moment and this was just another thing to add to the list.

Riza was brought in as an attacking coach in the summer and only now is he going to implement his ideas? Why didn’t he do it before? I think there is some reading between the lines in the press conference that he didn’t agree with Bulut but let’s see if he can get a response
The full transcript of the press conference quotes Riza saying "When you’re a first-team coach you give your feedback about how things should go but the manager always makes the final decisions. We have had chances, not loads of chances. But we had conversations, respectful conversations, and the manager makes the final decision."

I read that as he wanted to do it before but Bulut said 'no'.

The players have something to prove, so does Riza, I'm sure we will see a big improvement on effort, but you're right to change to a winning performance would tell us a lot.

Bellamy achieved a pretty dramatic change in approach from Page's last few games with Wales, with only a few training sessions

If we do win it would be a lot of factors. Could be players playing without the worry of Bulut throwing them under the bus post match. There might be a more positive atmosphere in the dressing room which can help on the pitch. Also players thinking they have a second chance and a clean slate. At the very least let's hope he;s given them licence to have a go.

:hehe: Imagine if he scores and plays brilliantly tomorrow.

                      Or maybe he doesn't start?

                        Also Robertson in please.
He's always been fit and ready to go this year! Just fell out with Erol

At least it would have been an opportunity to apologise on behalf of a few people.
No, I don't think he should have been asked. And if anyone should apologise, it should be the club.

Riza didn’t include Galinovic in the list of coaches who have been preparing the team for Hull - he referenced Tom Ramasut and the u21 coaches. But on the official website Galinovic still shows as the goalkeeper coach.
                            He's gone now.

This Riza situation is genuinely funny when you think about it. According to the press reports in the summer, he was brought in as an attacking coach to improve City’s potency in the final third.

Six games in and just one goal scored, he gets promoted to interim manager.

                                Only at Cardiff City… 🤣
