I really wonder what these judges are watching. Bivol all day for me.
Not by much, but no way did he lose that.

Even if you gave it to Beterbiev for the aggression he showed, those scores are ridiculous

We’ve seen many, many robberies in boxing.
Robberies in the last 12 months.
If you think this was a robbery, I suspect boxing is not the sport for you.

            116-112 was unfair.
First 2 rounds I gave to Bivol.
Every other was very much subjective.

Bivol didn't win that fight, it's up for debate whether he lost it, but he didn't win it. I think that Beterbiev was the winner, very close, he won the championship rounds and he put the pressure on after the third.

Beterbiev is 40 in january and has just come back from knee surgery. Credit to him.

We’ll have to agree to disagree. No way did Bivol lose that fight. Boxing judges are worse than VAR.

                    That’s how I saw it.
The one judges card shouldn’t cloud it.
Fast Eddie is chirping off now…how it’s a disgraceful decision.

I honestly think that Beterbiev took it.

Same, Bivol did too much running, and i don't mean that in an insulting way. Beterbiev was stronger and more aggressive, and he came forward for 10 rounds. Brilliant fight though, massive credit to both men.

It does sound insulting. How do you approach a fight when you know your opponent has dynamite in both hands? Bivol showed a masterclass in both defence and attack. That is what boxing is all about. It’s an art as much as it’s brutal. The referee had one of the easiest nights of his life. Hardly any holding. (None till the 9th round).
How one judge had Berbietev 4 rounds ahead is baffling.

I agree with this, Bivol didn't run, he boxed, he threw plenty of punches himself and I think he deserved to walk away with the belts. That said, it was a close fight and Berbetiev was relentless in coming forward which is a fair argument for giving him the win. It's just that 116-112 which I found mad.

Two warriors anyway, and so refreshing to see a fight with so little clinching

Did you see Bivol's interview afterwards? He said that the damage on his face was from Berbetiev hitting his blocking hand so hard that the power still did that through the glove and the hand :yikes:

Bivol most certainly did not run or intentionally take a backwards step.

                                He was forced to.
The aggressiveness negated Bivol’s attributes and put him on the back foot.

                                Beterbiev’s ring generalship is underrated.
He cut Bivol off and had him fighting on the back foot after round two.
