Can he be signed if he becomes a free agent after the transfer window is closed? I seem to remember a player who was released after the window closed being refused to sign for another club, it goes back a bit and might have changed now.

I haven't followed his progression, but he looked a handy player at Rangers when they won the league under Gerrard

If Robinson gets injured we are seriously fecked.

Kent would just take up a place in the squad where we need someone up top in the centre far more urgently.
