1. Name the 5 managers (whether temporary, permanent, joint etc) who hold the joint best record of winning 3 of their first 4 league games as manager.

Lennie Lawrence, Neil Harris, Russell Slade, Kenny Hibbitt (in 1996) and the joint coach/player combination of Ernie Curtis and Ron Stitfall (more on them to follow)

3. Which managerial team saw their side score a record 13 goals in their first 4 league games?

The Curtis/Stitfall duo. They took over managerial duties together in September 1962 and promptly beat Grimsby and Swansea, scoring 5 in both games. They only managed for a total of 13 matches, in which the side scored 38 goals, winning 9 and losing 4. In their 9 wins, they scored 4 twice, 5 four times and 6 once! After hitting Preston at Deepdale for 6 (that's us scoring 6 there), their next match was a trip to Chelsea, losing 6-0. In their 13 games, there were a total of 62 goals!

4. Which 3 managers since 2000 lost 3 of their first 4 league games?

5. Before Omar Riza, who was the last City manager to see their side score 5 in his first 4 league games?

Len Ashurst, in a 5-4 home win over Cambridge United in March 1982.

Len Ashurst again, in September 1989.

7. Which two sides have been the most regular opposition for a new manager's 4th league game?

Surprisingly no correct answers here, Birmingham and Preston are the sides.
