I see Coventry fans were giving their team and Mark Robbins a lot of grief after the defeat at Preston

It seems like another case of unrealistic supporters in the modern game

Coventry punched above their weight for many many years in the top flight

Then came decline and further relegation

Robbins has clearly turned them around and their crowds and status seem on the up

If he gets sick of the hassle then I can't see him hanging around long

Robins has been at Coventry for 7 years, a successful 7 years at that. He's not going to spit his dummy after a poor start to the season and because Barry from Leamington Spa has shiit his pants because of a loss to Preston.

Well that remains to be seen

I remember going to Coventry for a night game when the crowd was 15000 and we had 2000 fans there

He's certainly turned the club around

Leamington Spa is a nice little town and a good night out just out of the urban sprawl but feckin miles from the sea

      I suppose it's a sort of Penarth

It’s Cardiffs equivalent of Barry from Barry right ?

No , Barry is a working class sea port

Penarth is generally posh and the victorian playground of the caardiffian in the old days

In the same way Leamington Spa was the place Coventry people went locally for a nice days shopping and tea and cake

when I went to uni Coventry were in the premier League and Cardiff in the bottom tier.
one of my mates was a Coventry fan and he could not accept that I only supported Cardiff, and didn't have a premier League team as well.

a few years later, when they were in a lower division to us, I took great delight in asking him who his premier league team was.

It's incredible the number of people who support their home club and one of the big boys

                    It's bizarre

Maybe when you are 14 but grown men ?

Never understand that myself. As a young kid I used to like Arsenal. They had the likes of Frank Mclintock, Charlie George, Pat Rice, etc.
However, by my early teens I had started going down the City, and that was the end of any thoughts towards Arsenal.
I doubt I could name more than 5 Premier League current managers.

What is worse is the assholes that support the likes of Manure Arsenal etc but don't support their home team.

It’s Groundhog Day. The repetitiveness of some of this stuff is nuts!
Bigger teams… plastic fans… teams from where you live… Move on!
