Forest 1-0 up, they’re not going to go down this season - unfortunately.

I know. We've missed the 6 points a season over the last few years.

We have an incredible recent record at the City Ground - Jamie Vardy equalises, but Forest still aren’t going down unfortunately.

Portsmouth take the lead against Wednesday.

Really surprised to see Sheff Wednesday were fairly strong favourites at Portsmouth.

Whenever I have seen Wednesday they have been awful.
Not much between the two sides tonight (other than the goal:-))

I am neither for or against VAR .

Kinda like the championship where a goal is a goal if the referee points to the centre circle and the linesman keeps his flag down .

They are dissecting the Portsmouth goal and VAR would have disallowed it for petty indiscretions.

VAR was supposed to eradicate glaring and obvious mistakes , not a heel off side.

VAR was being advocated by Sky commentators for years before it was introduced, and they'll be doing it for the Championship now there are plenty of live games. Essentially it adds to the TV drama, especially non-uk audiences and the mega betting market they've spawned.

                Apparently not

"EFL chief rules out VAR in Championship and overseas games
Trevor Birch says desire to retain ‘authentic’ football means VAR will not be brought in despite officiating errors" .

Apparently its an expensive business to implement as well.

Now Windass has scored down the other end and VAR would have something to say… looked clearly off from one angle and clearly on from another.

My first instinct was that the Pompey goal was clear offside for the player interfering in front of the keeper, but I totally agree I’d rather see that outcome than VAR look at it for two minutes. Not sure we’d all be saying the same if either of those goals went against City mind.

Did they have VAR at the TNS v Astana game at Shrewsbury last night? If so they must have had to have set it up, probably, for the first time at that ground. Can't have been that difficult to do.

I don't think TNS have been mentioned since that win last night.
