Next match: Pre-season. Saturday, July 11th | FC Midtjylland (H) @ Cardiff City Stadium, 12:30pm -
All pre-season fixtures
Yes, anything can happen—three games in eight days again—but we should be optimistic. Their fans are getting impatient. Score first, and we should be alright.
Now there's a bogey side if ever there was one. Won 7, drew 7 and lost 16 against them.
Of the 16 defeats to them, we'd won the previous game on 10 occasions and drawn another 3.
Notable Posh anti-climaxes include:
Beating Leeds in the FA Cup as a third tier side in 2002 and losing 2-0 at home to them in the next game. They also beat us 3-1 at Ninian Park that season in the lower division cup thing.
Beating Blackburn 4-1 in the Championship in our title winning season (our biggest win of the season), only for us to lose our 100% record at home when they turned up (as bottom of the table as well). Peterborough would also beat us away that season.
We had beaten Wycombe and Chesterfield away in the promotion run-in during the 2002/03 season, scoring 7 in 2 away games, only to lose 2-0 at Peterborough.
We thrashed Doncaster 4-0 in Craig Bellamy's debut for us under Dave Jones, then lost 2-1 there.
We won promotion from Division 4 under Frankie Burrows in 1987/88. Despite that, we drew once in the league to them but lost the other and also lost in the FA cup to them. On each occasion we had won our previous fixture.

We won't mention the 4-4, either....
I always think of Preston NE as a bogey side, but I don't know if the stats would back that up or whether its just my memory
