    Re: Riza..yes or no.

I think he’s done well, it’s been a huge turn around from BulutBall. Last two games have been disappointing. I think we give him a couple more games to turn it back around.

Give him until January, see how we are then.

It’s more concerning who the clowns running the show would bring in, track record being about the worst in the championship probably.
Stick with Riza until end of the season, see how he does? Then make decision in the summer

Rinomhota & Siopis on the bench not used
Dave Jones once said "if you can't win a game, don't lose it"
Riza is to inexperienced for me
I don't think the introduction of Rino and Siopis would have made a difference to the end result. Blackburn were canny and had done their homework. They knew if they closed down Colwill and Tanner, which they did, then we wouldn't look like scoring, as we had no recognised striker on the pitch. They came with a game plan and executed it perfectly.

TLG has been all guns blazing for Sludge ever since he teased him about not being able to drive

                Re: Riza..yes or no.

To me Rise has been great for the players and has encouraged them to play more naturally. However after a run of good results other sides have got us sussed. Whereas Luton were on times brutal by comparison assisted by a shit referee Blackburn kept our two more clever ball players out of the game. In doing so we looked clueless.

To some extent our shortcomings at forward have been masked by the results but I believe it is now clear that we have to take a different approach. The main problem is that without a centre forward we have no outlet in the final third.

I don’t see Rise being able to get the team into the way of playing that if things look like they’re going tits up they can change the approach.

We need a more experienced manager. Someone who can get a new tune out of our indifferent fiddle. My preference is Tony Mowbray but keep Rise as a coach because he seems to be able to communicate well with the players and they respond to him. But we also need to sort out our defence. On times it’s extremely poor, giving the ball away, not winning second balls. Even ball watching a la Luton.

Tbf Luton are a shit side as Middlesbrough clearly showed. How we lost to them god knows.

                Rise isn’t the answer.

                  No for me.

He got the new manager bounce and showed a glimpse of what might be with sensible progressive tactics, but I suspect that is over now by the looks of it.

Time for a proper manager but it was an interesting experiment.

I love the idea as Riza staying as coaching but just can’t see it, he’s been the manager and the players like him, and they seem to want him to have the job, and he wants the job, I think a new manager keeping him just confuses the lines.

I’m edging this way. At least he knows where it went wrong. Unless it goes pear shaped before Christmas I’d say stick with him for the short term.

                          Re: Riza..yes or no.

I say he should be given until Christmas.

What Light up the Darkness said is spot-on. I wonder how Etete will perform, presuming we'll see him on the bench after the International break.

I do have a feeling that the real ITK people know that Riza hasn't got the job, though based on what Rob Phillips was saying and how he structured his conversation on 'Call Rob.'

Give him the job till Xmas, then it's a yes or no

By then he will have been through a few ups and downs and that will be a test of how he might be ax a long term manager

It's utterly stupid hearing our fans jump from he's crap to he's great to we must have a full time appointment ...in just a few weeks

Within the next 2 weeks we should be near enough to a full compliment of players....and the squad like him ....then given we are clearly not in a position to go out and spend money to get 11 new faces ....it makes perfect sense to give him a fair crack of the whip until the Coventry game is out of the way

We really are not an attractive club to manage at present and the idea that people would walk over hot coal to come and sort out the mess here is ridiculous

He's not the messiah but he's done OK.....get this next block of games done and if we are moving away from the death zone give him the gig v

Suggesting that Etete is somehow going to start playing and turn this around is utterly baffling.

He has had enough chances and yet people still think that he’ll succeed here.

Because they still cling on to the notion he's still 'young and is learning''.
Personally, I don't think he's got what it takes to be a Championship striker. I hope he proves me wrong, but I just don't see it.
