Fairly good report and a useful exercise. But why do they present it as a Brentford XI v 'Championship side Cardiff City'.

It was a Brentford XI v a Cardiff City XI. Both a mix of fringe and youth players.

You’d have thought Kanga would get a run-out in such a game.

In fairness, not a single player in the Brentford side has played so much as a minute of Premier League football this season. City’s team contained six players who have made Championship appearances.

Unavailable. I can exclusively reveal that he was a secret triallist for Barcelona in a behind-closed-doors friendly this afternoon, scoring 4 times, including a perfect hat-trick. Highlights are set to be available on YouTube soon. Rumour has it that Hansi Flick is set to sign him in January despite a three figure offer from Guardiola.

You’d need to be able to run to get such an opportunity.

I'd guess that was Baylin Johnson and that 'Cashford' was Cian Ashford. Maybe they were thinking of the Cashford & Jones cop series from the 90s. Cashford was a maverick but Jones played it by the book, I've got the box set on DVD if you're interested.
