          Correct.

I saw another thread where someone accused Splott Parker of attending Charlton matches before he was born!

I thought that the Valley had the largest official capacity of any London club, but maybe Stamford Bridge was.

Pretty sure the Valley had the biggest capacity in the league when I was a kid - that terrace on the right of the picture was huge.

Apparently they had an official crowd of 75,031 against Villa in 1938, but it was reported that many more got in without paying. I heard that it could hold about 90,000.

Early kick off on Good Friday 1969, got beat 4-1. City fans then relocated en masse to Stamford Bridge to watch Chelsea v Newcastle in the afternoon. The Valley slope was bloody huge but nigh on empty, it was too big.

Went to the Valley back in 1976 (Frankie's coach) to see Cardiff win 2-0 with Danny Showers scoring both.

People argued about it being the biggest ground in the country. A fair few said Maine Road was.

I always believed that the The Valley was well known as the biggest. Only half the capacity of Hampden Park though, 75,000 as opposed to 150,000.
