"If we’d won two or three more games, we might have made it to the playoffs" - despite the fact that, with goal difference, we were effectively 14 points adrift. Maybe if we hadn't had the third worst record for losing games in the division, that would have helped as well....

The unfailing batting for Bulut before, during and after his time with us by Wales Online is a complete mystery - especially the last two bits, weren’t they watching us play from last November onwards?

The erstwhile City boss revealed he enquired about Albanian forward Ernest Muçi, who can play in a number of positions but primarily on the left wing, in a bid to lure him to the Welsh capital back in January.

Cardiff were, of course, under a transfer embargo at that stage and were unable to pay any fee.

We weren't, though.

So if those are the four, one of them he froze out of the club after apparently having a falling out with and eventually loaned to Milwall for nothing, and the other is the goalie he said wasn't good enough with the ball at his feet and got in one of the worst keepers I've ever seen at Football League level who he then persisted in playing over. Not exactly the ringing endorsement of his man management and judgement he think it is, is it?
