Next match: Pre-season. Saturday, July 11th | FC Midtjylland (H) @ Cardiff City Stadium, 12:30pm -
All pre-season fixtures
Raining a bit here in North West Cardiff, wind seems to have gone.
Game could be played this afternoon no problem.
Conditions look worse at Sunderland and they are playing at the moment.
I don't think the ability of the actual game to be played was ever an issue.
However the m4 is still closed and will be until at least after when kick off would have been. M48 closed until tomorrow so very difficult for Watford fans to get here. Likewise all over south wales.
We certainly weren't the only game called off and correct decision in circumstances. People would be a lot more annoyed if it was called off now.

The official announcement specifically said it was because of spectator safety- it was never said that actual game couldn't be played.
I'm not sure if anyone cares about the Watford fans views but on their official Facebook page almost all of their fans posted they were grateful for the decision being made last night as I'm sure they'd have set off- they'd have had the journey from hell with the M4 closed and almost certainly game would have been off anyway.
Travel is still an issue in Cardiff as well. My usual route to the stadium has been blocked this morning.
Ironically, the bus service on my route in the north of the city seems to be operating more smoothly than most Saturdays, and that’s been the case since early morning.
The wind is still raging down here in the wild west but no rain thankfully as the ground is already saturated. I tried to get out in the garden this afternoon to pick up some debris that's blowing around and I had a job to walk upright. Apparently still gusts of 80mph. here.
At 4.00am the roaring of the wind was just incredible, like the engines of a jet plane reving up for take off - I have never heard anything like it in the 17 years we've lived here (and we get plenty of storms!). I recorded the sound on my phone.

My lady has been off-grid since very early on Saturday morning and there's no sign of a resumption of electricity this evening.
