  • great goal from Joel Colwill today

I popped up to see Cheltenham play Notts county

mainly to see how Jordan Thomas ( JT, a former Bath City Lad and someone I know Cardiff were looking at while at Bath ) and Joel were doing , oh and it was better than going to Ikea

JT was man of the match and its great to see a winger beating a man, I know its L2 and not the championship, but Both JT and Joel looked goo

Having nails hammered into your eyes is better than Ikea.

I have heard such furniture described a suppository furniture - as you put it up yourself.

I went to Cheltenham yesterday too, thought Joel was good, particularly in the last 15 minutes or so where he dropped a little deeper and everything went through him as Cheltenham pushed for the equaliser to make it 4-4.
In the first half he had a goal disallowed, for a foul on the edge of the box, which I thought was quite a harsh free kick to give. In the second half he started a move on the half way line and did well to get on the end of the cross but put it just wide at the near post.
A Cheltenham fan I know said that there's talk Riza wants him to be at a League One club, so I presume we can recall him in Jan? I've not seen the comments by Riza anywhere.

              This is what Riza said:

"Joel has been excellent," Riza said. "We are always keeping an eye on him and watching games, casting an eye, making sure we are talking to him. For Joel, it would be one of them, you bring him back, is he going to get many minutes ahead of the players we have already got in the building? With their experiences and the amount of midfielders we've got, it'd probably be difficult for him.

"He'd be one of those who would be bedded in slowly and that wouldn't benefit his performances. I think playing in League Two and potentially stepping up another league to League One, to push him a little bit more, then he has a full season playing 40 games, comes back in next year and everything can be assessed after that."

Asked whether it would be an option for him to move to a League One club next month, Riza said of Colwill: "Definitely. With his performances in League Two... well, for me, anyway, for him to go in at a higher level in League Two, one of the top teams, or even into a League One (team) would be what I feel is better for him at this time."

Would he improve our team,? Yes, he would. I'd recall him - our midfield has been dire. But I'd only recall him if the manager intends to play him.

Based on your knowledge of Ikea , did Cheltenham play with a flat pack four?

Were we linked with Jordan Thomas at one point? The name rings a bell

I think there's talk of Joel Colwill heading to Exeter for the second half of the season

I mentioned him on here as I knew a city scout was watching him think he was at 2 games
