Maybe the break would have done him good. From what i saw the straw that broke the camels back was a couple of pretty disturbing posts sludge put on here that were not easy reading. Mike removed them quite quickly, it wan't nice to read or see. That's all i'll say.

I read them as well. I have to say it did make me worry about his mental health.

I haven't got anyone banned, as if I have that kind of clout :xmashehe:, but I have had someone find my real name and attempt to stalk me. Luckily the vast majority use the board properly.

I'm here, decided I was spending too much of my time arguing with people online so took a step back to watch the circus instead, much healthier, I recommend it. And if you think I always agreed with Sludge then I don't think you've been reading properly, I hope he's alright but I can't say I miss him dominating the forum with his entrenched views and threads saying how shit so and so is

Attempt to have a word as you were continuously crossing the line . In future , rather than using your anonymity to troll, the PM facility is always available, failing that …… SHHHHHHHH !

I have interacted with Sludge for the best part of 30 years on here, but I don't know him at all. What I do know is the field of mental health. I'm guessing that it's possible to create an alter ego and use this forum on a daily basis in order to provide some light relief or to deflect wider demons. Alternatively, it could be a reason for finding some like minded company when faced with acute loneliness.

Like I said, I don't know Sludge, and none of the above may apply to him at all. Nevertheless it would be good if people were able to cut a bit of slack from time to time.

Anyway it's supposed to be fun.

Good riddance. He was dominating the forum and derailing almost every thread. Also, some of the stuff he was posting towards the end was crossing the line especially with how personal he was getting with some posters who he obviously knew personally.

He thought he was untouchable, so Mike had to clip his wings.
