Bugger. Always loved him as a manager

(…of other teams who are in or around our position in the league)

      Re: Rooney sacked

He was nuts to take that job on in the first place. Plymouth were second favourites for relegation (behind only Oxford) before he was appointed. He was always on a hiding to nothing.

So Mike Phelan didn’t save him.

            Re: Rooney sacked

Surely that has to be his last throw of the dice at management. His track record as a manager is abysmal and, let’s be honest, his reputation as a player got his foot in the proverbial management door. He follows in the footsteps of other notable players who tried their hand at management like Bryan Robson, John Barnes, Shearer, Tony Adams etc

Don't be so sure. Ex Man United and a big name, I should think the job offer from Tan has been sent already.

I sort of liked Rooney, even if he was a poor manager. He'll be okay though - it looks like his wife is the brains of the operation. Anyway, the problem here for us, is that if Plymouth get someone in who knows what they're doing, they have that new manager bounce, etc etc. You know where I'm going with this - we could be in trouble (as if we weren't in enough already).

Even he, wouldn’t come here, that would mean it’s all over, completely :xmashehe:
He’d be better off going into the youth set up at msn utd or something, why bother with all the agro?
