  • Gas problem Help!

My gas boiler is not working.

I am on pay as you go and stupidly let it run out this morning!

I have sorted that, but now the boiler won't switch on

It is a potterton 30 getting error 133.

I can't really afford to get cold

Does anyone know a good emergency plumber.

I know it will cost a bit

    I am in Llanishen

    Thanks everyone

I would definitely the old, turn it off and back on again, or if it has one, try the reset button before calling anyone, if you haven't already.

If you're getting an error notification then it's either your gas supply or ignition. Turn it off from the plug and then try again.

Have you tried googling it? It sounds like you have an ignition problem.

If it’s just run out it won’t have broken down too

British gas do a one off repair. They also do a repair and 12 months boiler care, for 27 quid a month
Check if youve got emergency cover on your home insurance

Broken down is probably the wrong phrase.

It might well be broken down. If it has a pilot light that went out because the gas ran out and now it won't re-light because the igniter is knackered.

Maybe, I used to go out and light mine with a match….until some bugger from British Gas condemned it as dangerous one year…..
