  • Would Anyone want SAM Hammam….

I see his name is being mentioned a potential future owner

Why in earth would anyone want him back after the Loan Notes debacle.

With promotion possible and a lucrative stadium deal beckoning, Sam Hammam was pushed out of Cardiff at the wrong time for him.

I think those who think he's a realistic future owner are in a very tiny percentage.

Rumours that he met the Trust and FAB don't help mind.

It is. I don't think the link he's posted has anything to do with Sam coming back. Unbelievably we still have fans who think he could buy Tan Out.

Indeed it does but it’s a reminder of his past involvement in football clubs

Hammam was also taking money out; that year, City paid Ł300,000 to his company, Rudgwick, as a "management service charge". By May 2004, the date of the last published accounts - they are currently eight months late - Cardiff's debts had risen to Ł31m, including Ł21.8m owed to Citibank. The club had nevertheless paid Rudgwick a further Ł583,333.

The fans finally woke up from Hammam's dream in August 2004, when Earnshaw, by then a Wales international, was sold. The following month Hammam borrowed Ł24m in "loan notes", from sources he has always refused to identify, to pay off Citibank. The crisis came seven months later when Kavanagh was abruptly sold to Wigan to pay the previous month's wage bill. Gabbidon soon departed, staff were laid off and the Welsh dragon had to simper to the Professional Footballers' Association for a loan.

Wasn’t that when he just used another company his family owned to pay off our debts? He shoukd of course stated he was part of Langstone but hey, they are all shady are they not? Imagine only being Ł20 million in debt….Tan racks that up in no time…

You know how much Dalman and choo take out each month to rack up a million pounds of debt? Great job that, I might train up as a car salesman too….

Re: Would Anyone want SAM Hammam….

I don't get the Hammam thing at all. It was all smoke and mirrors while he was here, and he left us on the brink of total collapse. Yes, we had some good times, but also nearly lost the club altogether. Twenty years later, and they want to bring him back?

Sam is a tiny fish in a tiny bowl that will never have a direct impact on our club again.

                      Move on.

                        Without a doubt no.

Only fans who would want him back are those he likes to buy drinks and ice creams for.

Not in any shape or form but surely there are other potential investors out there who will be a lot better than the current regime?
