But credit due for what seemed unlikely, a win at Bramall Lane. Only Burnley have managed that this season in the league. A first clean sheet in 14 games is very welcome.

That's the 11th away game under Omer Riza and while we've only won 2 (albeit that's now 2 of the last 3), we've only lost 3. We've scored in all bar two of them and scored in each of our last 7 away games, the first time we've managed that since 2022 when we scored in 9.

Whether the FA cup is important at this stage any more is a separate debate. Tonight will have done our confidence a lot of good and, all of a sudden, we're 4 unbeaten and things are starting to look a little better again.

Agree. There is never a good reason to lose a fixture. Winning can only be a good thing.

Considering the sides both clubs fielded, I think it’s futile to include a game like this in any kind of statistical analysis. The same is true of the League Cup victory over Bristol Rovers and defeat to Southampton.

After 15 minutes, I thought Sheffield looked weak I had a tenner on City at 5/2. That would never happen in a league game.

      🤣

Well I don't we would have won that fixture under Bulut. He would have put Mona from the ticket office as sweeper.

Fantastic win, but yeah it's hard to draw too much from it.

What it does do is create more competition for first team games..a good thing

Build confidence for the team...a good thing

Make us all excited for the draw...a good thing!

lets be honest here, a win is a win and can only be a good thing ( unless you are a miserable sod who only likes to moan )

yes both teams made 7 changes from the last league game, but its great to see some of the youngsters coming in and playing well, Cian took his goal well, Kion held the ball up and looked like he was a little stronger and more physical, though we need a CF if we are to stay up ( but we have said that for a few seasons now )

all in all a good night and well done to the city fans who made the Trip, much respect

According to Nathan Blake during commentary we have needed a centre foward since Chopra finished.

He obviously forgot Kieffer Moore’s 20 goal season.

Happy for your win but I think 5/2 is a dreadful price regardless of how bad Sheffield looked

I think our side last night while wouldn't have been 1st choice was hardly any weaker(if overall weaker at all) than the 1st choice.

In fact I wouldn't be that bothered if that was the line up v Watford.

After 15 minutes with the score at 0-0 and with Sheffield looking woeful?
