  • Ali Yassine

Just thinking of him and how good he was down both the Cardiff and Wales games.
Why did they let him go and why didn't the fans kick up a fuss like the first time he was let go?
I can't remember what the story was.

          Re: Ali Yassine

I remember we hadn't won for a few games under Dave Jones.2 down at home .At the start of the secong half
Ali played Ballard of a thin man -bob dylan
          with the lyrics
          Because something is happening here
But you don't know what it is
          Do you, Mister Jones?
We scored a hat full of goals in the second half
I've always thought that was the start of his downfall.
He was to over the top for me

That is the weirdest thing , whilst watching the pre match stuff on Tuesday Ali the commentator wandered into my thoughts.
I did think we are a bit more professional these days.

I just had a quick look at the post from 2015 when he was dismissed , I wasnt a fan , but plenty were .

I found him to be a bit self-indulgent, trying too hard at times to be a personality.

I'm sure I saw Ali in a documentary I watched during the Christmas break on you tube, it was about the Cardiff docks and the coal history, it was very good and quite informative. Ali didn't have a big part but was interviewed. IMO his time at NP he did a great job even with a few dodgy tunes he sometimes put over the PA 😁

And boring. The bloke who does it now is the equivalent of a strong dose of Zopiclone.

Geraint is actually a very nice man. If you want a particularly sleep-inducing PA guy, listen to the one at Anfield
