That's why I believe he is best position is inverted forward rather than attacking midfielder.

He is a modern-day, run, cut in, and shoot merchant. He is fairly accurate and doesn't half give it welly. Defending on the wrong side is difficult though and he struggles with the weight of his passes.

And if Rubin is an attacking midfeilder, Tanner needs to be in front of him

I think Tanner will become an important player for us, maybe more off the bench as a different option

He was one of the stand out players yesterday and deserves not to be dropped to the bench.

I love the lad though, he is living the dream and i want to see him continually improve. His fitness has improved, he doesn't possess any passing ability at all though, and that's why he can't play in that attacking midfield role. Run, cut in, and shoot; inevitably it's on target
When he first arrived and lets be honest the popular opinion on here about him was that he wasnt upto the job, I went against the flow and said he was great, he was a player who wanted to run at defenders, thats exciting in todays game , he is a great lad and is living his best life play to him, of course when he was sent to the NL it didnt work out for him, but that didnt mean his dream was over

I dont think he will be polished, coming from non-league part time, he hasn't had the academy training that brings with it the refinement and to be honest, im glad about that, that rawness makes him the player he is

but saying all of the above, I love a winger who goes past a player, they are a dying breed with the % game the modern game has turned into, Bath has a Winger, Ewan Clark, for me very similar to OT

            I love watching Tanner.

Defender's nightmare when he runs at you jinking out then in, squaring you up or doing you for pace.
Reminds me of the old QPR and England winger Dave Thomas.

He does his fair share of tracking back too and has a big heart never shirking a tackle.

I watched that Anthony for Man U in the week and yesterday (cost upwards of £60m didn't he?) give me OT any day of the week!

I do wish he'd buy a pair of larger shin pads though, there are some sly cynical feckers out there could do a bit of damage.

I have it on decent authority that the jack players hate him. I wonder why!

2 assists, a goal and a penalty won in his games against them? Bet he wishes he could play them every week

Our work is done...I like Tanner, not the brightest of footballers, continues to do the same things even when they're not working, although i don't think that he can play any other way really, he didn't come through a professional system, so it's likely that his main attributes were the only consideration in his development, and he probably wasn't offered the opportunity to play in other positions or refine his game. Although i really enjoy how direct he is, his willingness to test the opposition, and when it comes off it looks great. I don't know where he'll end up, but i hope he can stretch out a full career in pro football.

Toilet Tanner! You get one good run or one good pass every now and then and that's it. can hardly run with or control the ball most of the time. he's so frustating.

I think it's rare that he becomes a defender's nightmare. When he realises that the defender has him sussed his game becomes far more limited.

We signed him from non league for £50k and he's still only played 2453 minutes at this level, that's about half a season. so he's got to still be learning with every game he plays at the moment.

A question for you, do you think that he does anything differently than say, 20 games a go? Because i don't, he reminds me a bit of josh low, with a bit more aggression. Like i said, i like him, he just gets on with it, and i've always admired people who do that in their profession, he wants the ball and he isn't scared to take risks, like run at players which is a part of play that has a definitive outcome, but do i think that he'll become a better player? I very much doubt it on the evidence so far. Good luck to him though.

Josh Low was really all about pace. I cant remember Low having the Bristol City or Swansea goals in his locker even at the lower level.

I think he needs to add more goals to his game as he's got a good shot and I believe that's where the improvement can come. I think he should be targeting double figures a season.

Finishing can improve. Don’t believe he’s one of the game’s thinkers. Doing ok though as he gives his all.

If Tanner could get into double figures as a wide player then he'd have top end championship clubs looking at him. I think it would take some doing given his position and starting point.

I watched a few tramp vlogs they rate him and hate him too, he terrifies them.
