I did a search in order to nip this nonsense in the bud, and He had put on 8 kilos since he retired, which is about 18lbs in old money. That's Timber.

My comment was an attempt at lighthearted humour but shirley he is comfortable.
I think I read somewhere that his salary in 2012 was £1.5 million.
Of course he may have blown his earnings with poor investments, wine women and song.

Pro footballing career spanning 20 years in the modern era (post premiership and SkySports) mainly at the top level and second tier. I'd say he's pretty comfortable.

Football pundit and pretty much anything he wants, like when he played!
