One of the criticisms of Erol Bulut was the number of games we lost by 2 or more goals - it wasn't so much the first goal that decided games under him, but the second. I had a glance and noticed that such a trend has been adopted by Omer Riza - 6 of his 8 defeats have been by 2 or more goals, including last Saturday's close encounter.
Anyway, here's a table showing the top 10 worst managers and their defeat percentages by 2 goals or more....
Bartley Wilson 88.2%
Omer Riza 75.0%
Erol Bulut 73.3%
Phil Neal 68.8%
Ben Watts-Jones 67.1%
Jimmy Goodfellow 63.6%
Paul Trollope 62.5%
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 62.5%
Trevor Morris 61.0%
Alan Durban 60.0%
Free coconut to the person who can guess which City manager has the best record in terms of losing the fewest games as a percentage by 2 goals or more; clue - 18 defeats, of which only 5 were by 2 goals or more (not Billy McCandless).
