3 wins in 19Originally posted by olderblue View Post3 league wins in 19, hardly a record that he can shout about is it!
2 losses in 12
Scored in 12 out of 13 games
Conceded in 8 out of 10 games
Lots of different ways of looking at it.
Riza took us over when we were bottom of the league with 1 point and 1 goal from 6 games. We’re now 5th bottom, 3pts clear and with a game in hand.
His job is to keep us up, he’s on track to do that. Whilst that’s the case, he won’t be getting sacked.

It is what it is. From where we were when he took over, survival is the ambition.Originally posted by The Lone Gunman View PostThere’s nothing like a bit of ambition. 🤣
We’ve not been in the bottom 3 since the start of January and we’re on our longest stint outside of it all season.
I’d say we’re on track.

Oh, I don’t know. Maybe head for mid-table like QPR managed when they were adrift at the bottom of the table in late-November? Or shoot for the play-offs like Coventry did when they were only one point ahead of City during the same period?Originally posted by Dave Blue View PostWhat would have been the ambition with 1 point from 6 games or whatever it was?
Sill, this is little old Cardiff battling away with their trainee manager in the hotbed of brilliant football that it the Championship. Avoiding relegation is the goal.

Depends on whether we think the players are good enough. I don't think they've proved capable of any sort of long, decent run, regardless of who might be in charge.Originally posted by The Lone Gunman View PostOh, I don’t know. He’s taken 31 points out of 78 on offer, how many other clubs appointed a total novice (apart from 7 games at Orient which he lost 5)Originally posted by Canton Kev View Post3 wins in 19

He might go on to have a great career as a manager and prove to be a tactical genius, but this wasn’t the job for a relative novice
Let’s hope he’s got a better game plan away at Plymouth on Saturday and we don’t concede a couple of goals in the first 10 minutes

Re: Tan sacks Kortrijk manager
I’d say our squad is good enough to be mid table at least, Rowatt turned up at Oxford where they hadn’t won in 15 games and seems to have got a tune out of that squad.Originally posted by Eric the Half a Bee View PostDepends on whether we think the players are good enough. With the greatest respect to Oxford, survival is their main aim in the Championship as they would have been one of the favourites to be relegated
