Many times in the ground I've thought "we could do with Whitts here"

IP Peter, one of the greats.

Let's face it, there isn't a game we've played since his passing when the comment "we could do with Whitts here" was not appropriate. He'd have turned 40 last September if he were still with us and, based on what we know of his off field lifestyle, he would probably be a very long way short of peak fitness by now, but he'd still take better corners and free kicks than the current squad - if only he'd survived and if only the football authorities would have introduced special teams!

      RIP

That free kick away to Leicester in the play off semi final still gives me goosebumps, real football genius at work for that goal

Bloody amazing that, even though it looks like relegation for Leicester this season, they’ve won the Premier League & FA Cup since that day.

As much as I recognised his genius at the time I think I still became somewhat used to seeing him score those screamers.

Now after years of no one being at that level for this club I hate that I took it a bit for granted.

Utter class player for us. RIP legend.

                      Outrageously talented and understated too.

I’ll always remember the way, when he used to come and take a corner, in front of the Canton, he’d always applaud the fans, who cheered him. Such a sad day for his family and friends, and us fans aswell.

Such was his ability at taking pelanties, you could celebrate a goal almost from the moment the ref pointed to the spot.
