Yes.Originally posted by D. Advocaat View PostWhat might be considered an unsophisticated sense of humour. That's all. A non-story.
BBC making a non story about a German joke when one of the most memorable scenes in arguably their best sitcom had some proper German banter is the real joke.
Poor Harry will be labelled far right soon.

It was amusing then and still can be today for many. Though maybe people back then off the back of real hardship were generally just less offended all the time. Good on them.Originally posted by NYCBlue View Post50 years ago. I'm sure Tuchel found it ****ing hilarious.
To be fair I really doubt Tuchel gives a ****. It's clearly a joke.

Re: Lovable old Harry.
Dad’s Army was so good because the humour was directed at us as much as the Germans and it still succeeds today (unlike some aspects of Fawlty Towers). If you think anything Ive said in this thread is advocating that all comedy should be banned, then you’re even further past saving than I thought you were.Originally posted by Wales-Bales View PostI bet he watched Dad's Army and Faulty Towers though.
BTW, I agree with you that all comedy should be banned.
