I don't think any team is "on the beach"
with 6 games still to play.

Not a comment on QPR specifically but every single season pundits talk about teams being on the beach and having nothing to play for etc....

I just dont think results year after year bare that out. Having nothing to play for can mean teams play with less fear and are far more dangerous. Playing teams at the top or bottom they can become scared of their own shadows when so much pressure.

They could be pissed up at a beach bar and still beat us

I gather they have a lot of injuries right now, no doubt something we can capitalise on !

Yeah, it's what we're known for.... putting weakened teams to the sword!

QPR almost certainly can't go down and they definitely can't go up. When push comes to shove, some of their players won't dig deep as there's nothing riding on it for them.

On the beach is one of the biggest misnomers in football

Some teams play better with no pressure, others buckle when there’s something to play for.

                Plus were crap

Except bonuses, starting places, contracts, potential moves etc.

100% this. I could see it maybe 30 years ago when sides changed relatively little year to year, less money in the game, players were fixtures at a club for 10+ years.

Now even if the team isn’t playing for anything I’m sure pretty much every player out there is playing for something on an individual level.

And as noted, we are crap and play down to the level of pretty much every team we play anyway.
