  • QPR and the plastic pitch

Anyone else remember going to QPR around the early 80’s after the introduction of the Astro turf pitch?
Strange to think that the Football League allowed it at the time, Luton and Oldham also had it installed

I seen to remember it was all about doing away with boggy pitches?

It must have been a big advantage for those sides playing at home, I’m sure we lost 2-1 that day?

I think I’ve only seen us win once at Loftus rd, let’s hope for a bit of luck today

I was there. Think it was 2-0. One was an overhead kick.
