Blimey, people find the Premier League boring in comparison to the absolute rubbish that we watch week in week out?

      I find that extremely surprising.

Re: Is the Premier League boring?

Most of football is quite boring.

It's the passion and history that gets people watching and interested. The actual game? Nah.

It has big epic moments of course (goals) which are the highest value reward in any sport which is why it's so popular. Oh and it's so tragically simple.

When it's not boring it's a real story and a game to remember- but it's a game to remember because it's not the norm! The norm is fairly meh.

Yep. No point in football if you can't celebrate goals. It really does kill it.

There's no point, Athletic Bilbao scored last night. 4 minutes later, it was chalked off and they were given a penalty. What's the point?

Re: Is the Premier League boring?

Man City aren’t boring any more.

The days of metronomic control, sideways and backward passing, technical masterclasses that made mugs of their opponents, and finally (finally!) the killer pass that led to a tap in…. are over.

The football now is worse, but the interest, excitement and surprises are more.

Now we have teams that mix it up and aren’t fixated with possession and I prefer it.

More risk and reward and less of a certain type of quality. Different qualities now. The dominance of Pepball was stifling.

Yeah, PSG’s lack of success in the Champions League is a source of amusement to me, but they look to be the best team in it this season and they deserve to win it based on what I’ve seen.

So, if you support an EFL team, you cannot find the Premier League boring? City have, basically, been a poor watch since 2019, at least, yet I.ve found the Premier League to be exciting in most seasons since then, this time though i haven’t - too many teams set up to play on the “transition” now for me.

Funny, you say there are sides set up to play differently, yet I see twenty teams where the manager/head coach has more influence than ever and spontaneity is frowned upon. I find Forest’s success this season depressing for a couple of reasons. First, they are cheats who have prospered and second they play in a manner where they almost don’t want to be in possession, save for those moments after they’ve either won possession or had it presented to them by their opponents.

If I had to pin down my declined enthusiasm for the 24/25 Premier League to one term, I’d say it lacks its usual vibrancy.

I don’t watch any Premier League or Champions League football. For me, both plus Sky have marred my enjoyment of the game. Also, can’t stand many of the commentators and so called pundits.

Whenever I watch the City on TV in the occasional Shy match, the commentators always appear to talk about the opposition way more than us. Aston Villa away was a prime example for instance.

I miss the Cardiff City club commentary which Sky have taken away this season in the UK. It was good fun watching our games on Cardiff City FC with their bias ( I am 100% biased in our favour and watching these matches was just like viewing the games with mates who support our side.

I would just love Sky, the Premier League and Champions League to all explode with bankruptcy and football could return to a more equal equal playing field without the need for mega rich, mainly foreign owners with no affinity to the UK. Like Vincent Tan and Sam Hammam for example!
