    Re: Mike Peters RIP

Saw The Alarm about 30 years ago in the (now sadly long closed) Boardwalk in Sheffield. Brilliant gig - one of the best in my memory.

Very sad that cancer finally got Mike Peters. One of the good ones.

This is really sad news. Mike was a cracking front man and a good genuine man. A wonderful ambassador for his country.
        Rest in peace Mike.

Watched The Alarm in Rhydycar Leisure Centre 87 I think.

Wasn't really a fan but went along with a girlfriend from school. Lots of 15/16 year old kids there and Mike Peters came out to speak to some which he didn't need to do.

From what I've seen of him on tv he seemed like a really decent lad.

          Match going football fan too.

You can watch the whole thing (split in two parts) on YouTube in awful quality, but it's the best we have. Sure does bring back a lot of memories. I was 15 at the time and considered it the best day of my life at that point. I surely don't hold U2 in the same high regard these days though.
