  • Nathan Jones

First time I’ve really watched him

Christ he’s erratic. There’s enthusiasm and then there’s being unable to control your emotions.

    Not sure he’s a manager I’d want.

He's not leaving Charlton anyway. But at least the dreadful passive football we play would be a thing of the past.

Glad it's not just me. His short stay at Southampton wasn't great at all. He just seemed out of his depth and uncomfortable in the Premier league.
However, a scrap in league 1 probably suits him, but I'm not convinced.

He is too good for League One .....and this current Cardiff set-up.

He is also probably better than all of the managers we've had in recent times.

But ye, you boys seem to have an innate nous for sniffing out a dud.

                  If it’s genuine…good for him.
Foreign managers have been lauded for their outlandish actions and passion for years.

Compared to the deadbeats we’ve had over the last few years, I’d have him here in a heartbeat

Did a fantastic job at Luton, he’d be a perfect fit for us

Some hold the view that he’d be extra extra super passionate if he managed Cardiff.

If he did that he’d explode.

                        Re: Nathan Jones

At one point Charlton wasted a corner with a ball that eluded everyone.

Jones turned to his subs bench and ranted…and ranted….and ranted…and turned back to the game…then turned back to the subs…and ranted…and ranted…

                        …and repeat.

                        Not my type of manager.

Somewhat surprisingly, his win percentage at Southampton was actually 35.7% which, for context, is better than all of City's last 7 managers bar Bulut.

I think the only club where he's had a proper nightmare is Stoke, although he's far from the only manager to struggle there since they came down.

The only thing I don't get is people who don't want him because he's too animated or erratic. It's like when people used to lay into Dave Jones for not showing enough "pashun". I couldn't give a **** how the manager acts on the touchline as long as they win games, and Nathan Jones has won far more than he's lost in his career.

Mad as a box of frogs.

Absolute nutter but you can have an appreciation of him being your nutter (if things go well, otherwise he's just a nutter)

One thing's for sure we wouldn't have had anywhere near the sort of limp, lifeless performances we were subject to.

Jones has got God on his side, and lets be honest, we could do with all the help in the universe, although knowing us, Jones would come but God would give it a swerve, too big a job....
