Awful first ten minutes for Wales as they faced seven corners, the Danes hit the crossbar, they forced two good saves from their keeper and five of the minutes were taken up by a Welsh player receiving treatment for a suspected ACL injury. It’s settled down since then and Wales should be one up because replays showed that Fishlock’s shot crossed the line. Still 0-0 after another good save from their keeper Welsh keeper.

Is it just me or does Fishlock look off the pace?

She’s not played much lately according to the commentators, so I’d guess she’s taking things fairly easy.

1-0 Denmark, soft goal with some poor defending, but Wales can’t complain too much at being behind.

What is it with ACL injuries in women's football? They seem so much more common than in the men's game.

Up to six times more common in women’s football seemingly.

From the design of football boots and hormonal fluctuations to disparities in training facilities, we investigate the prominence of female ACL injuries.
