Not since Virginia Wade beat Betty Stove in 77 have I given a flying one about womens' tennis but I thought I'd have a butchers at the French Open tennis final today and within five seconds of watching I realised that I so badly wanted Coco Gauff to win.
I know very little about Gauff, who eventually went on to win, but the way her opponent (Sabalenka) played the game with her grunting and general bullying tactics made me realise why I rarely watch tennis these days.
So pleased to find that Gauff eventually won tho 👏
