Re: Mansfield last game away
I remember managing to get tickets in the home stand, we were then moved out of the home area, and then put back in the home section but further away from some Nottingham Forest lunatics who came to the game. Both ends behind the goals were closed for some reason. As we got in the car afterwards we heard about Jimmy Glass's last minute antics to keep Carlisle up!Originally posted by Armitage Shanks View PostMight be a lucky Omen, as we were promoted in 98/99 same last fixture (but lost 3-0)

Re: Mansfield last game away
If it’s the game I’m thinking about we got moved because part of their ground was condemned, Iyesden (sp) Christie had an absolute worldy for them and we were in fancy dress - Eric the Red dressed as Hilda Ogden and me and my mate dressed as the Blues Brothers…made the scrapping quite funny, different times

Allowances need to be made for him only playing for us in the fourth tier I suppose, but he's still my choice as the best right back I've seen play for City.Originally posted by Boanagers View PostAlways thought that Delaney was such an accomplished player and had an assurance on the ball which I hadn’t seen at the City since Gary Bell, a pity that injuries curtailed his career.
